Can Theories Change the Direction of a Literature Review?
Theories can give students a useful way to understand why researchers have reached particular conclusions about a topic. I remember discovering that one theoretical idea completely changed how I interpreted several studies I had already read. While learning how theory could shape academic discussion, I looked into do my literature review and started paying more attention to theoretical connections between sources.
